Here are some suggestions:

ONE DAY ITINERARY
The world-famous Carlsbad Caverns, open year round. On your way, stop at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens.  See one of the most amazing greenhouses in the southwest and have your own close encounters with the wildlife! The Living Desert is just 10 minutes south of CARLSBAD KOA.

TWO DAY ITINERARY
A morning at Sitting Bull Falls, one of New Mexico's most peaceful places. Take a picnic and wear shoes for wading in the rippling pools.  After lunch, drive out to Five Points Vista, one of our most beautiful places. Be sure to take your camera! Day 2: an early trip to the Caverns, with a tour of the Living Desert on your way back to the park. Don't forget, we can have dinner waiting for you!

THREE DAY ITINERARY
Now you'll have time to check out some of the great restaurants in the area: LaFonda, Chaos, Eversprings and Lucie's, to name just a few. Then make a day of it in Roswell, less than an hour north of us. Did you know that the famous UFO Museum is not the only attraction there? Don't miss the Goddard Space Museum in Roswell, describing the history of rocketry. For artistic tastes, the Anderson Museum of Southwestern Contemporary Art is there - as is the Roswell Museum and Art Center.

Other favorite day trips include the breathtaking view from Cloudcroft, with its community of woodcarvers and stone cutters, the casinos at Ruidoso and the brilliant white dunes of the world's largest gypsum dune field: the White Sands National Monument, 275 sq miles of shimmering white desert.
