"CHRISTMAS ON THE PECOS"
Nightly riverboat rides Nov 27-Dec 31
One of the most beautiful sights in the American southwest: nightly boat rides on the Pecos River to view the holiday lights along the river bank. The old homes of Carlsbad decorate their houses and yards with thousands of *l*i*g*h*t*s* to celebrate the Christmas season.
The boats go out at intervals. You can choose your day and time. The river masters hand you a soft, heated blanket as you climb aboard, perfect for an evening river ride. A wonderful outing for couples, families or groups.
Click on the sparkly tree for more information and to reserve your boat ride.

THE NATURAL ENTRANCE photo by D. White
Most visitors tour the Caverns self-guided, no reservation or ranger guide required ~ and most enter via the Natural Entrance: a beautiful, winding walk down, in which you can more fully appreciate the enormity of this spectacular cave system.
View the Carlsbad Caverns page of this website for more information
about options at the Caverns, including group and individual guided tours.
